FIVE OF WANDS:
Your energy has drawn you to quite the scene: five narwhals fighting over one fish, though many other fish are swimming right nearby. The five narwhals are all unique from each other, but why are they all going after the same fish? They could all have their own meal if they hadn’t all set their sights on the same one. The Five of Wands indicates an imagined or unnecessary war or argument amongst friends, family members, coworkers or creative collaborators that is causing tension and impeding progress. Everyone is shouting in their own way, but no one is willing to listen to what others have to say. Take a step back and remember that everyone has had different experiences, faced unique challenges and has something valuable and niche to bring to the table. Work on creating a constructive brainstorming environment where diverse ideas are encouraged and heard. Lift up those around you with your actions and words so that the conversation becomes less combative and more focused on solutions and collective empowerment. The more people feel heard, the more they listen, and the more likely it is that you’ll come up with the ingenious solution you’ve been waiting for.
IF YOU’RE FEELING BLOCKED:
Conflict is difficult, but it can’t always be avoided no matter how hard you try. It might be an inner conflict that you’re dealing with at the moment, or a conflict with someone close to you about something political, personal and important to you that seems unresolvable. Maybe the conflict is even spiritual in nature; you’re feeling conflicted by something morally or ethically. You might not be able to change someone’s mind about something, and you might not find a black-and-white answer for yourself. It is okay to have different opinions, viewpoints or perspectives than the people around you, as long as no one is getting hurt. As long as you’re able to keep talking through the issue, a solution is always possible. But it’s also okay to cut ties with people or a project if you’re not sleeping at night or are worried about potential damage or danger to something you care about.
