Here's what I need to do next: I need every single one of you to know that you matter. You matter more than you know.

Let me repeat:

You matter more than you know.

If there's one modern miracle that has happened in the last few years, it is Joe Biden stepping down from office, something I had predicted for years would happen before I began demanding it. (If anyone paid attention to all the things I predict that come true, you'd be calling me a prophet). It is rare to witness a person voluntarily give up power like that, swayed by the common good and the repetition of facts.

Remember watching that debate? It feels like ages ago. It was alarming. It IS alarming. Our president could not speak on the significance of the issues at end. He fumbled every question. Now, Joe Biden might be having more good days than bad days now that he’s not under the physical stress of a campaign, but that Joe Biden is STILL the person running our country. It’s still him. We are in a situation where we might have a cognitively unfit President while fighting off the biggest threat to our democracy that our country has ever seen. That's terrifying.

After the debate, I got on social media. I demanded on every article and political ad and anything I could find that Joe Biden step down. Everyone told me I was insane. Everyone told me it would never happen, that I was delusional, that I just had to accept the world as it was.

That was bullshit. That was gaslighting. That is what they do to try to get you to just sit down and let this shit happen.

Now, I know that nobody on this earth would say that I alone was responsible for Joe Biden stepping down. I was but a piece of the bottom rung. But I was part of the ladder, and your actions right now are what matter. Every little thing you do, or can think of doing, might matter.

Because the truth is, this election probably won't get decided by the number of votes. Nobody believes the numbers anymore. Neither side will concede this election based on the outcome on Nov. 5 or 15 or whenever the tally is announced.

This election is going to be decided by the force of sheer will, by the implementation of a plan, by having had foresight and a clear mission. Mind you, the MAGA Party has all of these things on steroids: brainwashed followers who ask no questions, demand nothing, cheer for anything, and a heavily coordinated collection of people with shared goals and a 2000-page plan.

They seem to be ahead of us, because I have heard of no plan. Other than, you know, vote. But our votes have all been corrupted by disinformation and million-dollar lotteries and billionaire dark money and just lies after lies and algorithms and cultural insanity and….

So, yes, definitely vote.

But what happens if it's rigged? What happens if Russia succeeds with its elections interference? Is the war over after losing the first battle? Do we have a plan? Is the plan to stop this thing by any means necessary? Is the plan for Biden to use his immunity to cast aside the tainted Republican swing state votes, overrule the electoral college and let the popular vote rule the day? Is the plan for Harris to refuse to certify the results of the election if she loses? We are going to have to support that. We are going to have to see the difference between Pence's refusal to refuse and the necessity of Kamala's refusal. Or is the plan for Harris to then use her immunity to remove insurrectionist members of college from their positions and hold SCOTUS justices on trial for treason? Is the plan to ... do what it takes? How far will we go to save ourselves and to prevent what would no doubt become a colossal tragedy?

This is what we need to be talking about right now. This is what Republicans are talking about right now. Not the numbers. The will.

In some ways, having a plan to save democracy is very closely akin to having a plan to overthrow it. And maybe we do have a plan, I'm not exactly in the inner circle. But if push comes to shove and Joe Biden does not have the will to use his presidential immunity to save our democracy, it is a violation of his oath of office, and the Cabinet should be invoked to call the 25th Amendment.

This is not about politics. This is non-partisan. Do not label me a Democrat. I am voting for Kamala Harris, but I am not a Democrat. This is for everyone who has ever said "this doesn't matter to me." Believe me when I say, this matters to you. These actions and words and will will not come from the top. They must come from the bottom, from all the people who have been told they don't matter, who have become disenfranchised and demotivated and checked out of our political system. The People need to speak.

You matter. Every little chirp in the wind matters. #artistdiary
