THREE OF SWORDS:
The Rainbow Heart is about finding creative unity and emotional release after a painful heartbreak, loss or betrayal. Three powerful Swords stand in a mushroom field, the energy between creating a colorful forcefield of love. These three swords represent the mental knowledge necessary to process trauma, the spiritual knowledge that we are all connected and the physical knowledge of how to use your hands to connect to your soul. All three are necessary right now. All those feelings you're feeling right now are just different types of energy, and it’s up to you to use your hands to turn that energy into something tangible, meaningful, or beautiful. You’re grieving something, but grief is a kind of gratitude. What are you thankful for? Focus on that and use your gratitude to create something. Eventually, you’ll make your way through this painful period — or finally process a heavy loss from long ago that you’ve been carrying with you.
If you’re feeling blocked:
Your biggest creative block may come from negative self-talk, someone close to you who said something that hurt your feelings or directly hit your creative spirit, recent heartbreak, grief, sorrow or other emotions that you’ve been avoiding or otherwise unable to process. Join a new group or become more active in a group you’ve been lurking on the outskirts of; make new friends and allow yourself the gift of vulnerability. Find a safe space to express your feelings, and do so without shame. Howl at the moon, cry, scream - whatever it takes to feel a release, let your emotions flow through you, and pay attention to what your self-talk is telling you. If your self-talk is negative, demand that it be kinder. Make sure you are treating yourself with love.
Creativity exercises:
Create something abstract and wild — an acrylic pouring, a spoken word poem, an interpretative dance, and share it with someone.
Create a tribute to something from your past that you’re thankful for.
Create an abstract heart, with whatever it is that yours feels like.
Create the negative self-talk troll that lives in your brain so that you know it is you’re really listening to when those voices rise up.
