Goddess of Stones
On Nurturing and Supportive Leadership
The Nurturing Deer is a loving steward of the land and universe. She appears as a deer-like feminine figure walking along a mountain trail, accompanied by a fawn who clearly adores and trusts her. The path is lined with blooming pink rhododendron bushes, evoking the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Along the way, a cairn of thirteen Rhodonite stones rises in sculptural form, marking the way forward—a testament to her nurturing guidance and clarity of purpose. The Goddess is someone who freely shares what she has learned over the course of trial and error, who supports others in their growth.
This card speaks to your role as a nurturer, a mentor, or a guide. Are you walking the path as the Goddess, offering support and inspiration to others? Or do you need her right now? Are you searching for someone to guide, encourage, or nurture you? This card is a reminder that creativity flourishes when we share knowledge and draw inspiration from others.
If You’re Feeling Blocked
The Goddess of Stones encourages you to reconnect with your sense of purpose through community, but maybe you’re feeling like you don’t have much to share with others, but that’s not true for anyone. We all have a unique path through life, unique experiences that have shaped us, unique ideas to add to the world. Perhaps at some point in time, you needed to withdraw into your own personal safe space, but have you been isolating yourself too much for too long?
It’s time to show the world who you are. Creating a class, leading a workshop, or even showing a friend how to do something you love can spark fresh creativity. The Goddess of Stones walks gently but purposefully, showing the way with wisdom and love. By embodying her nurturing energy—or seeking it from others—you can find your way forward and inspire others to do the same.
Creativity Exercises
Story and Song Swap: Choose a biography, memoir, or even a podcast episode about someone whose journey inspires you. After engaging with their story, create something in response—a poem, painting, or journal entry—celebrating their influence on your creative life.
Teach to Learn: Create a show-and-tell presentation that shows off some of your skills. Presentations can be in any format, whether it’s a 30-minute demonstration, a 10-minute speech or a 400-second 20 image Pecha Kucha style slide presentation.
Create a Cairn: Build a metaphorical or physical cairn to honor your creative path. Collect stones, objects, or symbols that represent your milestones, then arrange them into a structure. Use this as a visual reminder of your journey and a guide for what comes next.
Fawn Forward: Reflect on who looks up to you, just as the fawn follows the Goddess. How can you guide and nurture their growth? Write a letter or create a gift for someone who admires your work or creativity, encouraging them on their own path.
